The beaches of north-eastern Sicily are generally composed of coarse sand or sand mixed with grit or pebbles of various sizes, almost always gray in color. This stretch of coast, both in the north on the Tyrrhenian Sea and in the east on the Ionian Sea , does not have many inlets. The beaches are not very sheltered and on the open sea and therefore often have an elongated and straight shape. CEFALÙ
